Jamba Juice

Any of you guys ever heard of it? I had it for the first time on Saturday morning for breakfast after me and my friends daily jog at the park. It's 100% all natural products. Most of it being fruit. They also have this cool stuff called "boosts" that you can put into them. They have a protein boost in which whatever smoothie you pick, they throw in an extra 20g of protein! It's amazing! And it was perfect for breakfast. I got 50g of protein, 700 calories, and 75g of carbs/sugars all for my morning meal. Kept me full for a long time, and its only a smoothie! Check out their website:

I found the one I go to in my local Whole Foods store. Hope you guys get to try this amazing stuff! :D

i remember JJ well when i lived on the west coast. IMO their smoothies are WAY too high in calories and sugar. much better to make your own.

Personally, I really like Jamba Juice. Drink it as a meal, though, not with a meal. I have one really near my house and I love it.

yeah all their stuff is like 700 to 800 calories as i recall, i also dont like how they use a lot of frozen fruits. and at that calorie count i'd lose half my days alloted calories if i drank one.

if there was one near me though i'd use it soemtimes, split the smoothie with my wife.

theres the sixteen size which has 1/3 of the calories in the normal drink. its like 200-300 and its still a meal if you get the protein boost mixed in. ;)

yeah i think in a reasonable portion size those smoothies can be fine. buying the regular size ones though are loaded with calories and sugar - people end up buying them for a between meal snack and think they're buying something low calorie and healthy, when in fact it's the opposite in those amounts.

I LOVE Jamba Juice. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and since health is such a big deal over here in California (and Jamba Juice was founded in central California) they're all over the place.

The sixteenth size is stupendous, their smoothies are amazing, and they're a very cool company.

Also remember that calories aren't the end-all for good health - in fact they're not even the start. Because they only use natural flavoring in their smoothies, you're getting a ton of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and fiber in each smoothie.

and with a few boosts, ur daily value of 5 servings of fruit, plenty of protein to make a meal out of, etc. besides, if u have one in the morning who cares how much sugar is in it? u burn it off throughout the day anyway its not like sugar instantly becomes fat lol.
