Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes everyone! Ugh, I can't wait to get back on a good track, my stomach feels like garbage. The good news is that I bought those size 13 jeans back and the size 11s fit perfectly!
Thanks for the advice about UTIs as well. I know about cranberry juice, peeing after sex, and drinking lots of water, but for some reason I'm still having an issue. The weirdest part is that I went to my doctor, and he said that my test didn't show a UTI. I had one about 6 weeks ago that was definitely one, and he gave me antibiotics for it, but then I had another and just got a refill, and then this time I went back and he said no UTI and that I may have to see a urologist. The weirdest thing about it is that I wake up at like, 5 or 6 in the morning desperate to pee, and then I can't even go, and it bothers me for an hour or two, then goes away. I'm fine all day long, and then suddenly it happens again. It's really aggravating. I guess I should make an appointment with a urologist.
Now that we're done talking about my pee problems, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving full of yummy food and great compliments. I was sad this year because I had to work on Thanksgiving, so I couldn't go to Fort Lauderdale to see my friends and family. I had to stay in Orlando. I did go to Dan's family's Thanksgiving and they were all so nice to me and happy to meet me, and it was nice, but not the same as being with my mom and my friends. I should be able to see them during Christmas though.
Ugh! I ate way too much. Green bean casserole (my favorite,) stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cresent rolls. Mmmm, so good but so bad and so full!
But! I had a revelation while talking to a friend who is trying to lose weight. We all know the holidays are the hardest time to keep the weight off. However, I think that if we constantly remind ourselves that there are only certain days and certain times that are special occassions, like holiday parties, Christmas dinner, ect.--not every single day in December is a special day. Therefore, if we all go by the 80/20 rule, we can enjoy holiday treats and dinners while keeping ourselves on track. Regular workdays and weekends don't call for big deal meals. On regular days we diet, drink our water, watch our snacks. On holidays however, it is okay to splurge, since it's only a few days in the month. I'm happy with this revelation.
Okay, girls. I have to do some homework before Dan comes over. School will surely kill me.
