Last week i was 100.5kg and now im 100.8kg and accordin to my weight slip im up a pound

I am on my periods and i had eaten 2 meals when i weighed myself , i normally weigh myself 1st thing in the morning

Would the meals and period make a diff?

Most certainly they would. Also water weight can easily make that much difference. Don't fret the week to week numbers. Look at the overall trend!

you normally weigh in the morning... and get one weight.

This time you've eaten two meals and your weight is up a pound and you're wondering if that's normal?

Am I reading that right?

not to mention te possibility of hormonal fluctuations?

Unless you weigh at the same time every day wearing the same thing - you're not going to get consistent results.

Try this test

Weigh yourself in the am...

Don't eat anything -and drink a very large glass of water.. water has no calories correct
Weigh your self a gain.

you will see a difference in the scale -doesn't mean you gained fat -just means the scale changed

Or weigh yourself and then go workout. I guarantee the 1-2 (or more) pound loss you will see is not from fat loss!

as i said - try the test tomorrow with a large glass of water...

anything can effect your weight from moment to moment...

it's the big picture that you're looking at...

that kind of fluctuation on the scale means absolutely nothing. you'll drive yourself insane if you worry over all the tiny flucatuations.

Buy a litre bottle of water. Weigh it full. Drink the water. Weigh the empty bottle. You will see that despite containing no calories - the water that you have consumed still has a weight. That weight is inside you and will affect your weight on the scales.

Similarly there is weight in shredded wheat and milk. Weigh the empty cartons and full ones. That weight is not lost when it goes into your mouth - it affects your weight until it is processed / expelled from your body.

One month's data does not necessarily mean anything. The fact is that a lot of women often get a water weight gain around the time of their period. For some women that gain can disappear when their period arrives - for others - their weight is up for some time.

Dont worry about such fluctuations - it is all water / food weight. Just continue to control your food and exercise and the weightloss will happen in time.
