Ive got to lose 5.5 lbs a week till Jan

I just went onto the fitday.com website and according to them Ive got to lose 5.5 lb a week until im off on my snowboard hol!

Is it posible:eek:
 
Only if you are severely overweight it would be possible. Losing that much weight per week will most likely result in the loss of lean muscle tissue.

I don't think this is according to "them" is it? You've entered your current weight and your goal weight and the date you want to achieve it and the software has automatically generated the amount of weight you need to drop. It should have also generated a warning saying it's an unrealistic goal.

Due to your weight you may drop 5 pounds a week initially, but it won't last. Even if you do you will lose a ton a muscle, harming your bodies ability to shed fat inthe long term, and you will eventually end up weighing more than you do now. IMHO you should set yourself a more realistic goal otherwise you are setting yourself up for failure and possibly a lifetime of yo yo dieting.
 
no way man. its not safe to lose that kind of weight over a sustained period of time, when i first started losing weight i lost 6lb in a week but after that i was razzled. just take your time, your body will not be happy with you if you decide to attempt to lose that kind of weight so fast. not a good idea, imo unless your morbidly obese i dont even think you can keep offloading for so long. anyway good luck man but dont set unrealistic targets, it simply equates to losing motivation when your goals arnt obtained

Your all right, Its not gonna happen plus I have never dieted in my life,
I am starting to eat more healthy now Im excersing too every other day with 30 mins of cardio and a weight rountine.

I'm starting to feel alot better (its only been 2 weeks) and my bp is comming down too:eek:
