It's time to get moving!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Colleen and, obviously, I am new! On Monday, I m celebrating my 35th birthday and I have officially been fighting with my weight for the last 13 years. Before that, I was at a healthy weight but, as many people do, I still thought I was fat. I have never really been comfortable in my own skin! At this point, I know I have to lose weight for my health. Up to this point, my focus has been to lose weight to "look good" but it is time to get healthy! I am married with 2 children and all of them would certainly benefit from learning how to eat correctly and exercise regularly.

I will include more information in my diary posts so I will end this post BUT I am really looking forward to meeting new friends and sharing my experiences with other members that are fighting the same battle.

Welcome to the forum.

Adopting a new lifestyle which means that you have both better weight control than ever before and are as healthy as you can be sounds a great way of marking your 35th birthday. It will also help your children to develop good habits so that they always feel comfortable with their bodies. A definite investment.

I hope that you enjoy your birthday celebrations. There are plenty of ways to celebrate and be healthy at the same time.
