Hello all! This might be a bit long winded, so ahead of time, sorry for the book, haha! Anyway, I've been in the process of losing weight; I've been at it with some relative success so far, as I've gone from around 240 to 215. Last time I checked my bodyfat percent, I was hovering around 19% or so, and the weight loss has slowed down a bit. Ideally, I'd like to get down to 195-200 and have about 9 or 10 percent bodyfat. Generally I've been going on a relatively simple split of running and lifting every other day, with some light running on non leg days. I'll generally run 3 to 3.5 miles on all out days, while doing short 1.5 mile runs following upper body workouts. My lifts simply consist of an upper body and leg day split, where I will do benchpress, standing military press, ez bar curls, cable flys, dips, push ups, and lateral pull downs. On my leg days I stick to squats, clean and jerks, leg curls, and leg extensions.
Lately this past week I've sort of switched my diet up and cut more calories out. I added up to about 1100 or so calories. My first meal consists of two large omega 3 eggs on two slices of whole wheat toast, with a slice of fat free cheese. Immediately post workout, I'll have my dinner which consists of about a pound of boneless, skinless chicken breast. Later on in the evening I'll have two slices of wheat toast with jam and honey. I know it seems like very few calories, and I know I'm obviously missing some veggies, but I haven't felt super hungry and my athletic performance is seeming improving. My strength for instance, shot up since I've started this as all my lifts have increased. I don't feel run down or tired on running days, either. It seems like it is working fairly well, but I figured I would post here and get some other opinions on the matter!
