Is this place for personal diet experiences and info? I am another newbie. I started an Optifast program today. I have tried the chocolate shakes, the protein bars and the chicken soup. Granted none of it is the Great Wall of Chocolate, but they are good enough to stick to. I am also on an appetite suppressant. I was a little concerned about the side effects but so far they are minor. It is like taking a cold capsule or sinus medicine. I started at 214.5 and my ultimate goal is 145. I have been told that I should also set short term goals. My first goal is 10 pounds by 10/27 at my next doctors appointment. So I look forward to sharing experiences and comparing notes
