is this ok for a workout?

Hey guys...i JUST got back from my 6am workout. I didnt have anything to eat before...i just got done with a bowl of oatmeal with my protein mixed. But my question is....is it ok to do have of my weight training before and after i do cardio? and also....when i did my cardio...it was a stationary bike...i rode for 45 min at about 110rpm the whole way through..my target heart rate was 130-140...and it said i burned 280 calaries. did i actually burn more because i didnt eat before my work out and there was no glucogen and glucos in my system? thanks for the help!!
 
Many people do fasted cardio. If you do cardio and weight training back to back you should do weight training first.
 
for fat loss:

cardio-

best time is morning before food.

reason -

1) low glycogen stores in muscles and liver. your body will be more likely to use fat, or a combination of fat and carb for energy - rather than just carb

2) afterburn effect - an intense morning workout will cause you to continue to burn more calories throughout the day

3) psychological - you'll feel upbeat and satisfied for the rest of the day

the second best time is after weight training, as weight training is anaerobic, and glycogen burning by nature. i.e. see point 1.
