is this going to work?

hi im new to this forum,

i 20 ,5'4 male and im around 195 pounds

i started using my treadmill
i'm planning to walk/jog every night before dinner, usually around 7pm
my current regiment is 30min w/ intervals of 3.6km/h and 6.1km/h every 2 minutes ( its a setting on my treadmill, it switches the speed every 2min)
i checked my heart rate, it averages around 140 bpm

my diet,

i used to eat ALOT of rice since im asian, but i'v stopped for like 6months now, 0 rice
i rarely eat bred or pasta, my diet is mostly meat,veggie's and fish
im also starting to cut down on my sweets
and i don't eat junkfood..

will my exercise regiment work?
 
the only thing i would suggest is that you do your treadmill after eating so that you work off your calories before going to bed but give yourself enough time to digest it before starting!
