is this bulking info fause or true?

Ok I read from a site that says you cant bulk up from a FBW 3 times a week working with heavy weights of 3-4 sets from 6-8 reps? Is that info accurate?

3 days a week FBW, with 3 to 4 sets, at a range of 6 to 8 reps: With diet adequate, and person healthy, and rest periods good, and things considered equal: FALSE

agreed, you can definitely add lean mass on a 3x FBW routine. training has to be right, diet has to be right, and of course you kinda need to be a male in order to have the Testosterone levels to really bulk up much.

women just can't add a whole lot of muscle mass unless they use artificial sources of T.

To say you 'can't' bulk up on a FBW is false but there are good arguements that's it's not optimal. Just a few hours ago I was reading an old article on T-Nation that said splits were best by a long way if you want to gain strength

If for example you had a FBW that started with exercise A (deadlift) and went through exercises B & C and finished with D (Military Press), by the time you get to exercise D you'll be working at well under optimal performance and your results will reflect that.
However if all exercises on that day concentrated on the lower half you'd get a better workout that day and be free to hit your top half at 100% the next day

Different program elcit different things. You can bulk up on a 5x5 if you ate right. What is best? Training time and genetics play a big role as does effort. The kind of bulking program really should depend on experiance level, nutrition program, if you want function or look, etc.

Nothing is that black and white. A FB is just as good as a split, and a split has its place over FB.
