Is there any food that you refuse to give up?

i like to have thos 2 minute macaronie and cheese..

on the back it says 600kj per 100g and i have 150g so thats 900kj
which is like 250 calories? is that even how you work it out, cause thats how ive been doing it
 
I eat pretty much everything I want.
I have just about completely cut out fried foods.
I eat a whole Shit load of vegetables, pasta, and bread.
I am still losing weight at a rate of 2.5-5 pounds a week after dropping 25 after 3 weeks. My energy is through the roof and I eat non stop during the day. I have lost 48 pounds in 3 months and am loving it.
I am like steve: I haven't given up anything other that fried foods.
It's all in moderation and self control.
 
I gave up ice cream which I would eat everyday. Oh how I LOVE ice cream!! Pretty much any flavor I am not picky. I had to give it up but I will not give up things like chocolate, mashed potatoes, and chinese food. I figured one vice at a time and ice cream was a big one to lose!:(
 
ice cream is probably theonly thing i won't let myself have because i cant get past the fact that I beleive a 4 serving (at 250 calories a serving) pint of haagen daaz is actually 4 servings -that's way too tiny.. it's single serve i say... there is no substitute for haagen daaz
 
PS-Judyt: I would have said half and half for my coffee too but I switched to non-fat half and half and it was very easy to get used to (for me) and it too is so much better vs. milk (in part because it's thicker like cream). Have you tried it?

Wow I didn't even know they mad fat free half and half (hubby does most of the grocery shopping). Thank you for the tip I will definately put it in my list!

Land O Lakes makes one that's sold with the other creamers in most grocery stores (i've even seen it in the dairy case at walgreens) I use it a lot in a pumpkin soup that I make - there is really no differ3ence in taste or color...
 
I guess I would have to agree that pizza and pasta would be hard to completely give up. To that list, I'd have to add mexican food. Tacos, rice, quesadilla's. Mmmm Mmmm good.
 
I'm Italian, I could never give up pepperochini peppers, basically they're small yellow/green peppers about an inch or two long pickled in vinegar. The best thing is they're about 3 calories a piece so I chop them up in salads, sandwiches, etc. They have a little bit more sodium then I prefer but now I just make sure to drink a good amount of extra water on the days I eat them to compensate.

I cant help it I just love cocktails and alcopops, I usually only have them when I go out, I would swap them for spirits with diet mixers but lots of places dont have diet coke or anything like that :(
I guess theyre even worse then just being high calorie since the alcohol is bad for me too, just keep thinking, moderation, moderation....
 
Chinese I would never ever give up. I have it maybe 2-3 times a month, Same with Mcdonalds.

I eat most things in moderation so haven't completely ruled out anything. Just dramatically cut down and increased the healthy stuff.
 
So I decided to try giving up chocolate for a while and see how it goes.:( I am afraid that I will get cranky but I am sure that eating it EVERYDAY is not the best thing for me!! I will keep you posted on my progress with this!! :confused:
 
Most of the stuff that made me fat, I didn't actually like (junk food convenience ready meals, crisps (chips), frozen processed foods etc), or I still eat in but in strict moderation (the rare tart, a small bag of chips (fries) etc).

Stuff that I still eat and really know better?

Chinese food - I still sometimes have a large chinese meal with the family. and BOOZE - I still like a few too many beers with mates down the pub .... a little too often ;)
