Is it true that exercising will help

Improve blood circulation better? If so , where? I am assuming to the whole body? (all parts?)

Well....my problem is that I would really really like to haev red/pink cheeks.....and when I exercise, of course my cheeks are what I want them to be...but when I am not, most likely they are TOO white....

So, Im assuming exercising(therfore imprving blood flow ) will also help blood flow to my head therefore giving red/pink cheeks that I want?

Also if there are any foods that can help me get red/pink cheeks, that would be appreciated too!

Thanks everyone:costumed5:

It may have just been me, but it took me about 2 years to get to a stage where my face was even mildly flushed when I worked out. And for the first year I didn't even sweat much at all! (mind you I was wearing an antiperspirant deoderant- pitty they don't do as much for me now!).

Keep doing cardio, build your fitness level and stamina up and when your body is able to, it will allow you to go further, faster and with more effort. Then you should notice a 'flush' when you workout- however it may not just be your cheeks that flush- my entire face turns pink! (I am normally a whiter shade of ghost!).

I don't think there are any foods that will help you besides chillies but I wouldn't advise you do that as its normally quite painful!

Thanks for quick reply!

Well...Im guessing that with healthy lifestyle (eating well and exercising enough) I will get rose cheeks...is that right?

Yes, when IM exercising I have the most pink/red cheeks out of everyone else....VERY visible...and I love that, but when Im not exercising its quite white...

So yeah, Im just doing healthy lifestyle now (food+exercise)

Exercise (along with a good diet) will indeed help the blood flow better. Especially cardiovascular exercise. Focus on a good diet as well. Greasy food clogs the arteries. When the arteries are clogged, that disturbs the blood flow.

You'll get there, you just need to increse your fitness level to the point where you get alot of blood rushing through your veins at a highly pressurised speed. But don't go too far- you can end up with roscea like that!

Red cheeks happens in many instances.

1) When working out and restricting ones breathing one tends to exert physical forces in their faces or throats causing the blood to go there.

2) When cold, more blood goes to the cheeks to compensate for the cold.

Sometimes I have a habit of doing #1...it's like those big huge power lifters, they hold their breathes back to increase the blood delivered through their entire bodies and get really red in the face.

The adaptations in the body with regard to exercising are wide and vast.

Your heart becomes a more efficient pump, it requires less effort to supply more blood.

Your veins become bigger and wider, causing your heart to not have to push as much, since the walls of said veins and arteries are wider.

Your lungs become more efficient with oxygen, making you need to breathe less which makes you need less oxygen, which makes the muscle who has become more efficient to require less oxygen and thus less blood since the muscle, veins, arteries, capillaries and every other damn thing in your body becomes more efficient.

Exercises, following the above logic, cures asthma - your lungs become more efficient thus requiring you to breath less deeply, where asthma is the problem. After exercising you lungs, blood distribution and everything else becomes so much better that asthma just goes away. I put myself through this experiment, btw. :)

Becoming fitter will make your cheeks less red ;)

Less blood will be required by your cheek muscles since they will become more efficient.

The only thing that can make you have red cheeks is high blood pressure and physical force or just genetically red cheeks.

Anyhow, I like red cheeks too.

But exercising, I assume, won't change your cheeks.

Dude, that's like telling someone to have a heart attack inducing panic attack.

Because that's the only thing that makes what you said happen.

Blood isn't meant to rush, it's meant to flow fluidly.

And veins aren't made to handle highly pressurized gushes of blood, nor is the heart.

By the way - I'm going to use logic here:

Makeup = instant red cheeks and you don't need to exhaust yourself with endless exercising too...

You should exercise to make yourself fit. Not to get your cheeks to become red. You can use makeup for that, regardless if your a male or female.

It's like trying to make the windows of your car clean while driving through a barrage of insects at 100MPH. Sure you'll enjoy the ride, but the windows won't be clean as you want them to be.

apart from all that u guys have mentioned

Exercise probably helps ease depression in a number of ways, which may include:

Releasing feel-good brain chemicals that may ease depression
Reducing immune system chemicals that can worsen depression
Increasing body temperature, which may have calming effects

Exercise increases vasodilation of the cutaneous capillary system resulting in more blood flowing through your skin and giving you rosy cheeks.

You are right that exercises help in blood circulation but you should improve your eating habits. You should think about yoga also, it should works.

I don't think you can keep your pink cheeks, the blow flows to the brain not your cheeks. Keep your cardio up and improve your blow flow and see if it works though. You never know you might get lucky.

The merits of regular physical activity — from preventing chronic health conditions to promoting weight loss and better sleep — are hard to ignore. And the benefits are yours for the taking, regardless of age, sex or physical ability. Need more convincing? Check out seven specific ways exercise can improve your life.
1. Exercise improves your mood.

Need to blow off some steam after a stressful day? A workout at the gym or a brisk 30-minute walk can help you calm down.

Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed than you were before you worked out. You'll also look better and feel better when you exercise regularly, which can boost your confidence and improve your self-esteem. Regular physical activity can even help prevent depression.
2. Exercise combats chronic diseases.

Worried about heart disease? Hoping to prevent osteoporosis? Physical activity might be the ticket.

Regular physical activity can help you prevent — or manage — high blood pressure. Your cholesterol will benefit, too. Regular physical activity boosts high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or "good," cholesterol while decreasing triglycerides. This one-two punch keeps your blood flowing smoothly by lowering the buildup of plaques in your arteries.

And there's more. Regular physical activity can help you prevent type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and certain types of cancer.
3. Exercise helps you manage your weight.

Want to drop those excess pounds? Trade some couch time for walking or other physical activities.

This one's a no-brainer. When you engage in physical activity, you burn calories. The more intense the activity, the more calories you burn — and the easier it is to keep your weight under control. You don't even need to set aside major chunks of time for working out. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Walk during your lunch break. Do jumping jacks during commercials. Better yet, turn off the TV and take a brisk walk. Dedicated workouts are great, but physical activity you accumulate throughout the day helps you burn calories, too.
