IS Doing weights and a LITTLE cardio OK??

I'm wondering if I focus more on doing weights than cardio, will I still lose weight??? I'm 25, 5'6 and 160 lbs. (female) and I'm trying to lose weight- slim down a bit. I enjoy doing weights more than cardio but I do try to put in some cardio, I just don't feel like doing it sometimes.

you can, if you have a clean, well thought out diet targeted for fat loss.
Try Circuit training, it will burn those calories like theres no tomorrow.
Try to throw in a little cardio here and there (like your already doing).

.
I agree.

And there must be some form of cardio you enjoy - other than the machines: swimming, walking outside, hiking, biking, soccer, basketball, tennis, any other sports, etc.

thanks, guys!

I keep reading that a person should do cardio after weights. However, i just don't feel like doing it afterwards because I just worked out and I'm a little tired. Can I do cardio before my weights?? Why or WHY NOT ???

You could, but you'll be utilizing the energy and ability that you should have for lifting during the cardio.

Why don't you do a split, such as cardio in the morning, lifting in the evening or vice versa?

Or, if you're like me, then do lifting Mon, Wed, Fri - cardio Tues, Thurs, Sat - or something like that?

i agree that you have to find something you like. i like the recumbant bike, and got myself a Netflix subscription so I always have a movie to watch. believe me, the time goes FAST!

wow that's a pretty good idea, post up infront of a movie with a stationary bike... hmm..

Time to put money aside to get a bike :)
As for the movies, my grandpa sent 2 big boxes of DVDs to my house. a little over 40 dvds in all I think.

I was wondering, If i bought a mountain bike, And road it a little over 5 miles or more a day, Would I lose weight?
