is Demeyere cookware worth it?

I definitely wouldn't have thought about energy savings when buying pots or pans, even though this is a consideration for many other things! Will have to think about that next time I need to purchase cookware.

i'm pretty much going to stick with cast iron for skillet cooking, but i've already ordered that 2½ qt sauce pan to replace a beat-up teflon coated supermarket freebee pot i picked up a few years ago. i'm probably going to have to recalculate steaming times before i start overcooking everything.

I really need to re-season my cast iron skillet... I loved cooking with it but have been way to lazy about getting it in use again. That'll go on my summer to-do list I guess.
