Hi folks, This forum looks great, I'm looking forward to getting advice and doing my best to help motivate others on their goals here aswell.
A bit about me anyway, I'm new here (well kinda, been lurking for a considerable time) and looking to shake off some of this extra weight I've been lugging around the last few years. I'm 23 now, and was in considerably good shape most of my teens untill my metabolism decided to be a bastard and slow down. I've had a few failed attempts at shedding the pounds before, I'm pretty sure I have sussed where I went wrong all those times though and putting a gigantic effort in this time around not to fall off the wagon again, being paticulary motivated by some users before and after pictures I have seen!
I'm 5'6" and weighing 173 pounds (80 kilos), my long term goal is 150 pounds. Up until a few days ago I was too embarassed to go out jogging, why is beyond me now - but it would appear I'm over that after doing a few laps of the local park. My plan of action now is to go on a ketosis diet and 45 minutes of jogging a day (by jogging I mean walk/run as I'm very out of shape) spaced out over two sessions one in the morning and evening. I may very well start a picture diary to help keep motivation levels up too
Any advice would be greatly appreciated folks,
Cheers,
TJR
