inversion table recommendations

I am new to this board. My husband had a back operation and still has burning in his legs and back pain. He has compressed disks. I was wondering if an inversion table might help him. I see they range from $150 to $400 +. I would appreciate any help regarding if this works and what are the basics I need because I really didn't want to spend more than around $200. Thanks
 
Try a swiss ball. They are great bits of kit for rehab especially for the back.
