Hello, I'm Levianah. I'm a 19 year old architecture student and I'm here because I have so many questions about getting in shape and supplementing what I hope to be a long run with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts.
My current stats:
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 138lbs
A Sporadic Physical History:
I had a very active childhood and preteen years. I danced and played soft ball for around 10 years each but quit after growth spurts during puberty caused ankle issues which have since diminished.
Throughout middle and high school I didn't play sports with school but excelled in gym with everything except distance running. (I was asked to join the track team for sprinting though) After gym class was no longer required, I focused on academics and the only physical activities I was involved in were the trips on the weekends to go rock climbing, rappelling, skiing, whitewater rafting, etc.
All was fine after that and I remained at my very slim 115lbs for a couple years while being minimally active. It wasn't until I got my license and began going to a technical school for half the day that I got into weight trouble. I carpooled with a friend of mine who I would let choose where we ate everyday so I had Taco Bell, Mrs. Winners, Chinese, and all that other "great" stuff 5 days a week for a semester thinking that nothing would happen. I was so wrong. I realized some time during the summer that followed that I had gained 45lbs and I was tubs.
This was my downfall and I feel ashamed of it. But, it happened and it can be (and halfway has been) fixed. Now I'm in my second year of college and down 22lbs from my highest weight of 160ish. (I kicked freshmen 15's ass!) Although I lost the weight in one of the most unhealthy ways possible but not by choice.
Now that I'm happy and my life is in my hands again I'm ready to get back into being as active as I was when I was young. I have found something that brings back the feeling I had when I was dancing but instead of being graceful and beautiful I get to be hot, sweaty, and roll around on the ground choking people!
My main goals while here are to lose what weight that is left to lose and learn some training tips and techniques that I can use to supplement my jiu jitsu training allowing for optimal results.
Cant wait to get to know ya'll!
