Introducing Myself

Hey everyone,

I am starting university very, very soon (less than 2 weeks) and had been planning on losing weight in the time leading up to it but this hasn't happened due to severe depression and anxiety disorder.

So, here I am, trying once again to get rid of all this weight.

I have asthma so some types of exercise are out and my anxiety disorder is based around my heart and lungs so if I run too fast for example, I start panicking that I'm going to have a heart/asthma attack or just worry about having a panic attack (they are awful!).

I've recently discovered I like lettuce (believe me, this is a huge step) but only with meat and so far it hasn't been lean meat either but hey, a little progress.

So, anyway, I'm looking for a friendly, helpful forum where I can get support and recipes and give out the same whenever I can.

I look forward to chatting with you all :)

I have been thinking about your situation since I posted something in reply to your other thread earlier. Maybe an exercise bike would be a good form of exercise for you. You can get small weights and you could do some weight exercises indoors too.

Someone that I am close to has experienced panic attacks and I know that they are horrible. I honestly do feel for your difficulties there. I hope that you get some treatment that helps you.

I hope you find this place useful, and that it can help you decide what would be best for you to eat, when, and how much you can exercise with your current limitations. I know it can be extremely frustrating working around an injury or a condition, but there are ways around it if you are dedicated.

Have you considered starting a journal so that everyone can follow your progress along and give you new ideas?
