Introducing Myself.

Hey everyone. My real name is Ryan. I have recently lost about 12 pounds in 1 month by just drinking a lot more water and walking at least 3 times a week for about 2 miles. I am 5' 8 and about 214 pounds right now. I also have a very large bone frame and I think I would look perfect around 185 pounds. If anybody has something else that could help me even more with losing weight, please let me know. But I think if I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, walk at least 3 times a week for 2 miles I think I might be just fine. Anyways, if anybody has any advice please let me know.:coolgleamA:

Welcome.

Umm, to start...it's not like drinking water is making you lose weight. It's not the water so much, but more of the fact that you're probably not drinking any sugary, high calorie drinks like soda and Kool-Aid.

It's good that you're walking. It's really funny, but you don't realize how much of an exercise that walking can be until it helps you lose weight. My mom started walking a few years back and just from taking a few laps around a track every few days, she keeps her weight off.

That's cool to know about walking. Thanks. My dad tells me to go jogging but I hate jogging and it can make me throw up.

I'm the same way. I hate running because it makes me get really dizzy and I usually end up throwing up if I run too much. Even though it helps me shed pounds like nothing else, I still hate it more than anything.

Although I do have a sweet tooth and that's a big porblem for me. I'm glad to see that somebody else hates jogging too. I don't want to discourage people from jogging. It's just not the right exercise for my somewhat frail body. I hate to say that I'm frail, but I kinda am and I'm actually a 20 year old guy.

Firstly, Welcome to the forum :)

it's ok to not like jogging/running, it is not for everyone, Walking is a great form of exercise.

I would suggest you read the sticky posts and then start a journal in the diary section of the forum :) you will get a lot of support here and make new friends in the process.
