Hi everyone, My name is Lilly. I'm glad I bumped into this website, I think it's just what I need to get back on track...not that I ever really was on track, I have been struggling with my weight forever. I got my own place about 3 years ago, and things were getting good, healthier eating habits and buying the right kinds of foods and snacks, going out for jogs, and hikes (my condo backed on to a conservation area it was great!) I was starting to trim down. but i have recently bought a new house which is being built, and in order to save money i have moved back in with my parents and my good habits have kind of disappeared.
It's much easier when you do all your own cooking, you can easily monitor your fat intake and regulate a balanced diet...I work late hours, and god bless my parents usually when i get home they have dinner ready for me which is great, but being Italian it usually consists of pasta! how many carbs can a girl eat in one day! and god forbid if you tell them you aren't hungry! Geeez....so the dinner situation is a challenge in itself...
I'm the kind of person who would rather play tennis or basketball, or go for a hike then hop on a treadmill. And its hard to find a person or a group of people to work out with...I'll go for a walk with my parents sometimes, but they are old and with the joint problems, can hardly make it around the block... so yet another challenge....
I tell myself that once my new home is ready i will be able to get back on track, but my place wont be ready until Dec 2008 ... I have patients but my health and weight can't wait that long.
I have a few special occasions coming up in late May and would really like to get down to at least 180... and i could use a quick jump start to help me get motivated again, any tips? besides hard work and eating right?
can't someone just wave a magic wand over my head
