Hi, everyone! I'm female, 26, 5'8" and currently 181lbs (I've lost 5 pounds so far, yay!). I've been trying to lose weight since I was 18. The funny thing is up until 2 years ago, I was a skinny little thing who didn't need to lose any weight even though I was convinced I was overweight.
Anyway, two years ago I moved in with my boyfriend who is an aspiring chef and cooks WAY too much good food. As a result, I packed on 30lbs and now that few of my clothes fit I've decided it's time I got serious and did something about it. I would like to get down to 140lbs but I have an athletic build and so I think something in the range of 145-155lbs would be healthier and more realistic for me.
I'm a workout fiend who has no problem getting to the gym 5-6 times/week for some cardio and weights but eating healthier foods and cutting back on the sweets is incredibly difficult for me. I'm hoping that joining this forum will help me get some motivation and keep me on the right track.
Well, that's enough of my story. I've done a bit of lurking and you all seem like a nice, supportive bunch so hopefully I'll be here a while.
