Hi Everyone,
My name's Ray. I live in NYC. I used to weight nearly 300 pounds. Over the last few years I lost about 100 and was getting really close to my ultimate goal of about 180. But in the last year I've been really derailed, and gained 38-40 pounds back. No matter what I did I could not get myself back on track to losing weight (until recently)! I realized that a lot of my weight gain had to do with vegging out all the time in front of the TV. I know it sounds simple but this was a big epiphany for me. Now when I eat I make sure I'm not in front of the TV or doing anything else of entertainment value except for focusing on eating and stopping when I'm satisfied. I've been doing really well for the last 3 weeks and have lost about 8 pounds. My short-term (10%) goal is to get to 215 and start fitting back into my old clothes. I hope to get there by New Year's. My next milestone would be 200 and hopefully 184 by the summer! I'm excited to be joining this forum and sharing my story and hearing some of yours for support and encouragement.
I hope everyone the best!
