interval training question? how many calories burned?

I know interval training is more effective then just running, jogging or walking separately
but exactly how much more effective is it?

I run around 2 soccer fields side by side
so 3 laps = 1 mile

the first lap I do a walk
2nd lap I pick up to a jog
3rd lap I sprint down the sides of the field (120 yards the longest length of the field)
and slow down to a jog on the 80 yard lines ( shortest length of the field)


then I repeat it all over again
walk, jog, spring/jog..
exactly how many calories am I burning?

I am so tired of running! it's so boring!
plus it's hard to feel motivated to wake up early in the morning to go run 4 + miles...
argh!

30 pounds I have to burn..
and quick question
I recently calculated the amount of protien I should eat based off of my body % fat and such
so if I eat more then that amount, the excess protein is stored as fat right?
the amount I can eat is around.. 130 grams?
and if I eat less then 130, the protien will be used to burn fat, not be stored right? :angry:
