Intermittent fasting

I've never done it personally. I would like to give you a little tip though.

Make sure that in that window of time that you are eating, put the right things into your body. Make sure that you are getting enough protein. Make sure your eating raw green foods in abundance to help with different mineral intakes.

Where most people go wrong is that they think they can just eat whatever they want with no adverse effects. This isn't true. Too much sodium is still bad right? Not enough fiber is still bad right?

Be smart about what you choose to eat. Being healthy overall should be the long term goal.

i've discovered that if you eliminate overly processed foods from your diet, pretty much everything that's left is good for you. despite what some people claim, sugar is the real enemy of the people. if you're averse to eating much meat, getting complete proteins is more important than getting enough.

Very true. White cane sugar, the stuff we buy in huge bags is absolutely one of the worst thing to put in your body. It effects cognitive function negatively, as well as various other parts of the body. Natural sugars that are found in fresh fruit are good for you in the right amounts.

I'm lucky I don't like sweets but enjoy spicy fare best. My basic technique to get it off and keep it off is the portion sizes. I eat what I enjoy but don't eat more than needed. I also make it a spiritual weight loss this way by including prayer and mindfulness.

I don't do intermittent fasting but I do really try to eat only when I'm hungry. For example, today I had a big lunch and it's now a little after 7 and I'm feeling no hunger pangs. So I will do my best to not eat until hunger pangs even if I go to bed without eating. I really try to only eat when my tummy says its time. I can't really trust the mind it thinks eating is the answer to everything. lol My approach is a little unconventional so I say do what works for you.

frankly no sugar is good for you, not that it does not have a use. in times when there was no constant supply of food as there is today in most of the world's developed countries, sugar in fruit was a way fat could be stored for leaner times. that use for fruit is long gone as a necessity. today if you do eat fruit, it is best to eat a whole fruit and avoid fruit juice. both are fructose but the juice is devoid of any fiber. next time you have a glass of orange juice, think about the fact that it is likely the worst part, simply the sugar, of 10 or more oranges.
