inspired by Jillian Michaels to start losing weight!

Hey Y'all,

been watching that new show Losing It on tuesdays at 8 and watching the stories of others has truly inspired me to finally make a change in my life and start getting healthy! My girlfriends all say that Jillian is too harsh but I think she is just passionate about fitness and tells it like it is...have any of y'all been turning to Biggest Loser or Losing it for inspiration?

I haven't seen this show but I think probably more than anything the biggest loser show made me realize that I can do this. When I saw people much more overweight than me running on treadmills it made me realize that I had no excuse at all not to get fit and that it really doesn't even take long if you put your mind to it. I've never been a particularly fit person so thought that I wasn't capable of it but bit by bit I've got fitter than anytime in my life just by doing a little bit more each day.
Jillian is harsh but she gets results.

I watched and followed the Biggest Loser for the very first time this year. I was amazed at the workouts these people were put through by Bob and Jillian. I'm 163 lbs right now (hopefully not for long) and I get on that treadmill now and think, if those contestants could RUN at their weight on a treadmill so can I. I went as far as posting a very small picture of Ashley -pink team, onto my treadmill. I was truly inspired by the show. I have also been watching the Losing it w Jillian show there has not been one episode that I have not cried!
Good Luck Ladies keep Biggest Loser mindset and do it!

It is nice to meet you!! I'am new on here too! I have also been inspired by Jillian Michaels. I've watched both Biggest loser and Losing it w/ Jillian. I dont' think I've watched Losing it w/ Jillian w/o crying. I like her no nonsense approch. Seeing the familys and contestants working out like that is really motivating and makes me believe I can also do it.
 
I've just caught up on the first 2 episodes and you are right about crying. I cried buckets.

Jillian Michaels (biggest loser, losing it) was definitely one of my biggest inspiration to start losing. The book section of our store is really close to the electronics department. I kept walking by her books day after day and finally decided to grab one and flip through it during my break. I read the whole thing in one sitting. It was such a wake-up call. The best part is, it gives you the formulas to figure out how your body operates. I love the numbers, and I love her no bulls**t approach to fitness. She's definitely a model of self-discipline, and I feel like she really cares about everyone she helps.

I just started watching this show and it has totally inspired me! I think Jillian is harsh, but knows when to pour it on and ease off to motivate. I love how she doesn't just focus on weight loss and exercise, but always gets to the emotional roots of gaining. Everything she does is to push people to their breaking point physically & emotionally and then begins the repair and rebuilding. I love it!
 
I am also totally inspired by Losing It and Biggest Loser. Sometimes I watch them on my computer while I work out and I feel like I get in a better workout when I do! I cry at those shows all the time too. :blush5:
