So, I think I have stress fractures in my legs now. At the very least I have shin splints that need a few weeks to heal. I've been running once or twice a week in the wrong shoes for months now. The doctor only said the only thing that can be done for it is rest so I'm on my own.
I'm down to pilates, other core work and upper body work for a few weeks. I can't even do lower body work like lunges, I don't think...
My idea is to decrease the amount of weight I'm lifting and increase the amount of reps as well as the amount of days (4 - 5 instead of 2 - 3) and let that stand as cardio for now.
The only thing I'm wondering about is whether I should keep my current weight for 2 or 3 days and just introduce the lighter weights on the extra days or if I should use the lighter weights each day while I'm doing this improvised program? Anyone have any ideas?
