I've been trying to lose weight basically all my life. I've never been really overweight or obese, but never happy with the way I am. So this is yet another attempt at trying to lose the 15 pounds I want to lose. I'm 5'4" and weight 148. I'm trying to not weight myself all the time because I don't want to be consumed with numbers, but how I fit in my clothes. Here's my plan (I got my husband to try it with me):
Every morning I have a smoothie with soy protein powder, banana, and either some strawberries, peaches, or cherries (all frozen fruit), and a little bit of milk. It adds to about 300-400 cal depending on what fruit and how much i use.
Lunch is pretty much whatever I have on hand wherever I'm at (usually slimfast, piece of fruit, leftovers from dinner, or salad with some chicken) I try to keep it at 300-500 cal.
Dinner is a little different. For two days in a row I do the same smoothie that I made in the morning. The third day I make something-low fat meat, vegetable, and carb. usually about 500 cal.
Okay so my real problem is snacking at night. I somehow can not seem to figure out how to keep my craving for sweets, salty snacks, or anything to snack on at night!! It's so frustrating because I do really well all day and then I ruin it at night. I feel so irritated and mad at myself for not restraining myself from more food at night after dinner.
Does anyone have any ideas to help the snack-attack at night?? I need some help here. Some feedback would be so greatly appreciated. THanks!!
