I started my diet and excersize at 215 pounds. By counting my calories and writing them down so i don't cheat and exercising I managed to get down to 170.
I hit a plateau and have up for about two months but upon finding out that my dad is treating my boyfriend and I to a free trip to florida to see my grandparents I wanted to start up again and see if I could break 170 and get down to a decent bathing suit size before we go down there.
I've been eating right and counting my calories. I eat about 1100 calories a day give or take a few. I eat things like whole grain bread, tuna fish (it's really the only kind of fish I like) chicken, veggies, fruit, and I drink about a gallon of water throughout the day.
I've been going to the gym. I used to get on the cross trainer for 30 min then do some crunches and then work on my arms or legs depending on the day, then i'd do another 30 minutes on the cross trainer. The past 3 work outs though I decided to get on the treadmill instead and it was way harder but I still did my full 30 min both times.
The thing is. I haven't lost an ounce! I don't even understand how that's possible. My understanding was "Burn more calories than you take in = lose weight, 3500 calories = 1pound"
I should have at least lost a half a pound in a week of doing this. Especially after my body got used to not exercising for my 2 month break.
I can't see a difference in the mirror. i can't tell if my clothes are any more loose because i'm still wearing clothes from when iw as over 200 pounds. I did try on a pair of 14 jeans the other day and they fit well but I'm not convinced that they wouldn't have fit a week ago.
Could I be retaining water or something?
