Hi all,
I'm really trying to take losing weight more seriously and I'm trying to visualize myself at a point where I can be ok with how I look. You all know what I mean--wishing you could buy the latest fashions and look really good without worrying how it will look on you because you are not a size 4. I've always been overweight to a degree but still very active and tried to eat healthy. Most of my family is overweight, so maybe part is genetic--don't know.
Anyway, I started by buying a scale--sounds silly but true. I'm 32 yrs old and about 5'1 and definitely overweight for my height at about 184. I have started doing Tae bo (which I used to do years ago until I injured my knee in an accident). I have been eating better and doing tae bo every day for about 1/2 hour and my weight has gone up down by about 4 lbs in the last week. It's frustrating as I can't even seem to get below 180, which is my initial goal. I'm taking it one small step at a time so I don't get too disappointed and give up. My husband is always very supportive through all this too!
