Hi everyone,
My name is Jen and I just found this site. I am trying to lose about 85 pounds. I just started taking a kickboxing class about a week ago and have lost 6 pounds so far. Hopefully I can keep myself motivated to keep going and reach my goal.:)

be sure to start a diary to keep track of your successes and challenges and just remember take it one step at at time and you will be at your goal before you know it

Welcome to the forum. I hope you come to like this site as much as I have. I have only been on this site for 5 days. They are really supportive here. Congrats on losing 6 pounds so far. Thats great. :jump: I would recommend starting a diary as the pp has mentioned. I also would recommend doing a food journal. you can do it online at . Take baby steps and you will get to your goal. I was told to take things one day at a time and only do small changes at a time not to try changing a bunch of stuff at all once or you will overwhelm yourself.

Sounds like you're off to an excellent start. If progress slows or you get sick of the class, realize it's not time to start thinking about giving up.... it's time to start thinking about what the next step to take is to continue this success.
