Hey all

I'm 29 (and a half) and joined a local gym in April. I've been going 3 times a week ever since, slightly increasing the amount of classes and laps in the pool etc.

I love drinking my red wine (naughty but I have a glass a night) and I love food (cooking it, eating it, watching food programmes etc).

Unfortunately these two do not = a slim physique - well not in my case seeing as I dont have as fast a metabolism as a lot of other people I know. I am not obese, just "slightly padded with good human thermal insulation" and curvy, around size 12 - 14.

Who else is in the same boat?

I have tips to share and would welcome them from you all, really hope to hear from you.:waving:

Hello!

Welcome to the forum. If you have questions, just ask. Also there is a great forum section for you to work on a diary for your progress as well as a ton of stickied post with great information.

I'm the same way with food and food programs. I am a huge foodie and love to cook. That is one thing I am working to get back to. While eating out can open you to a world of new flavors and ideas, making at home is just more satisfying. With me and Amy's life, we had been eating out more instead of taking the time to cook at home. It's starting to change and we have this great recipe section of the forum you should check out!

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Jericho.

For sure I will check the recipe section, I will if I can add my own recipes, I have loads. SO inspired and look forward to being inspired by others.

I wish I had more money to be able to eat out (like you guys) but it was a toss-up of regular meals out....or getting a brand new kitchen fitted in my flat.

Because I love to cook, I of course opted for the latter option and I am so exicted to start cooking again in there. Havent had a kitchen for 3 weeks and struggling, getting serious cooking withdrawal symptoms!

I try and go to the gym as much as possible without becoming obsessed with it - I never intend for it to take over my life. I think a healthy balance is my goal and thats why I joined here, so that I can get advice and tips and create a plan that will work for my lifestyle, without omitting my fave hobbies/foods!

So....where to begin?!

I want to apolozes for hurting anyones feelings. I Didnt mean to. I am new at this Forum stuff and didnt relize that iwas out of bounds. Not really insulting anyone..but it looks real bad when you come on and start trying to sell products here. If you want to give support, great but we really hate when people come here trying to take advantage of our members. Just don't do it again and all is good :)
