Well, lately a lot of kids at school have been picking on me and calling me fat, so I've decided that I should lose some weight over the summer.

I'm 5 foot 8 1/2 and weigh 120 pounds, (Male) and am 13 years old. I'd like to lose maybe 10-20 pounds.

Any advice on good exercise/diet plans. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You're not quite 50th percentile weight for height for age. In your shoes, I'd work on building muscle, not on losing weight.

Here's a calculator you can use to put in all your info: height, weight, etc. and it will let you know if you're at a healthy weight:

I agree that you seem to be within range for your age & height, so you might do some strengthening exercises rather than trying to lose weight.

The healthy weight range for your height and age is 103 to 146 pounds (47 to 66 kilograms).

What you can do - is have a conversation with your parents about healthy eating and providing healthy options for your entire family - you going ona diet isn't what you need -you should be building healthy habits that will take you thru the rest of your life...
