I'm new and I need support!

Hello all,

I am 23 years old, 168cm, and 162lbs. I have really fair skin and get burnt with tans, so it makes me look untoned.

I just really want to get back to how I was 3 years ago, which was 130lbs.

In JAN this year I was at almost 170lbs after I went on a cruise... too much buffet... then I lost about 10lbs on my own which was really nice. But then I moved back with my parents, my dad does all the cooking and it's been extremely hard to say no to all the food. Then I have to study really hard for my exams and it's not easy to quit food while doing that...

But I really really really want to start my weight loss plan again because I know how important it is to me in all aspects of my life. I kept reminding myself how confident and happy and pretty I was 3 years ago, and now I wouldn't even take photos... :(I want to be confident again!

Exersicing alone doesn't work for me at all, I feel that diet does all the work. But I really need support and pressure from others to do it. But everyone around me are so against it. My parents keep asking me to eat, my bf keeps taking me to nice restaurants. So I hope that I can find support and peers here!

I hope that this website is working and I'll be posting my progress.

Thanks for reading and let's keep fighting!

Welcome!

Great to hear your plans on weight loss. I'm sure you will find lots of advice here and great direction.

I'm sure a good start on your weight loss is making healthy choices....especially in restaurants. I think about everything I eat before I eat it. And I try to make the best choice out of available options.

The folks here have alot more to offer than me. Im pretty new to this.

So good luck and looking forward to your progress and hearing what is working for you!!!!

Welcome to the forum!

You're right in thinking that dieting does the majority of the work. Exercise is wasted if you don't have a proper diet so your body can benefit from your increased activity. Weight loss is just burning more than you use and dieting is where all that starts.

Good luck losing your weight and I'm sure you will find plenty of support here.
