I joined this forum the first time about a year ago. I was totally motivated, and armed myself with a gym membership and calorie counting plan...
Then life happened. When things began to not go exactly the way I planned, or would have liked for them to go, I retreated from the forum. Next I quit going to the gym, and since I wasn't exercising, I might as well go for broke and stop counting calories too...
Basically, 2009 was not a good year for me. Not at all.
Aside from rejecting a healthy lifestyle, my husband and I both lost our jobs. We approached total financial ruin, had the electricity and water shut off, but somehow managed to keep a roof over our heads.
Things are still not good, but they are beginning to get a bit more stable. I have electricity again, and because of that I am able to be back on this forum, and make another run at a healthy life!!
Since I don't have all those "tools" that I would like to have (gym membership, exercise equipment, a Wii and Wii Fit...) I think it will actually be easier for me to stay on target this time. Things are far from perfect, and because of that, I'm not expecting things to follow any ideal path. If I encounter a few lemons this time, I'll handle it without acting like a spoiled child!!
A little background information...
My name is Bridget. I'm 27 years old and live in Central Florida. I work part-time as a Substance Abuse Counselor, and attend school part-time for Nursing. I currently need to lose more than 170 pounds, which sounds super intimidating... I know I can do it, it will just require time and determination!!
I have a Weight Loss Diary that I have linked to my signature. I haven't really gotten back into the swing of journaling yet, but I will soon - and would love any support you fine people can give me!
Thanks for still being here when I came crawling back!
