I'm in a pissy mood

I have been going to diet forums for about a month now and I can't believe the attitudes of most of the users.

People come here to ask for help and you offer it to them and your a spammer? I use a program and if I suggest it to someone or put a link to it in a thread I would be called a spammer. I don't own it, I don't know who owns it and I don't care if they use it.

Anyone that has been overweight and tried to lose it and failed should welcome all suggestions. I feel sometimes the people on these forums are people that have never truly had to worry about their weight or people that forgot what it was like or even worse, people that want to talk about it but not really do anything about it. If it was easy to lose weight places like this would not exist.

If someone was trying to quit smoking and you told them about Zyban would that be spamming? Maybe I'm trying to sell Zyban? Who's to say someone that suggests you eat turkey isn't a turkey farmer?

To me a spammer is someone that comes on a forum and post over and over again the same thing. If I get into a conversation with someone and suggest what has worked for me why should I be labeled as a spammer and the information removed? If I'm asking other people what has worked for them I would like to be able to find out.

I guess we could go back to the status quo (sp?) and tell people "all you need to do is eat right and exercise". It would cut down on a lot of useless posts.

Lets grow up people.

People want help and I am going to offer it when it is appropriate, call me a spammer if you want. Remove the links if you like but your only hurting the poor guy that wants the information.

Move this to another thread if you want but have the kahoonas not to delete it.

Oh good lord. Get over it, dude. This coming back and whining about it is getting really old. If you want to participate, then follow the rules of the board. If you don't like the rules, then go find someplace else. It's pretty much that simple.

Coming on here and whining about the rules the owner set up is like going to someone else's house and whining because they won't let you swear or smoke or drink or whatever. It's not your house. If you want to make your own rules, then open your own board - so it is your house.

Otherwise, for god's sake shut the f' up.

The fact is that no-one needs to fork out $9.95 a month or whatever to learn about good nutrition. It is all freely here on the forum - and plenty of people happy to help new folk without asking for any money in exchange.

That same poor guy that you speak of need only go to the section on nutrition...
