Well, here I am
Hi to all that have begun their journey "to lose".
Why am I here?
I'm here mainly because I am at a point where I exercise and eat considerably healthy, but do not have enough focus or discipline to be consistent enough to drop some kg's! I realised that it was time to plan and follow through and that exercise and healthy eating habits should be a part of your everday routine. By making it a daily task or routine, it's so much simpler to achieve the long term goal - the old saying "take one day at a time!"
My Stats
I'm currently 109kg, 172cm tall. My goal is 68kg but I may have to reasess the exact goal when I near that figure. For now, I'm happy to just get below 100kg and work at each 5kg goal from then on...
Golas
I'm looking forward to getting out of size 18 clothing and being able to wear a nice dress and high heels without getting sore feet from the weight above!.... I'm also looking forward to getting rid of all the "rolls" or "tyres" around my body and finally stop the wobble
Turning Point
I'm turning 30 in September and I want to start the new decade on a good note, I have been on a healthy pattern for the past 3 weeks, but have only just decided to join a forum and start weighing myself to track my success.
Week 1 consisted of gym workouts and good food, Week 2 was a snow skiing trip to New Zealand and Week 3 has been back to gym workouts and healthy food. I'm also studying health science which I love and i want to be a good example.
I work full time in the Property Development industry so I need energy to work and study, keep up with my boyfriend and friends and family.....that was another key factor in my decision to get serious!...ENERGY!
Over the past 3 weeks, I've noticed all this exercise has actually fuelled my body with more energy - even though I was aware of that beforehand...
Anyway, thanks for reading my intro, it's great to be able to express this to people who understand!
I find it pointless discussing this with my boyfriend, although he's a great listener - but the guy could eat a gallon of lard and it would pass straight through him....and he doesn't exercise!!!....though, I'm on a mission to get him moving - exercise should be undertaken by everyone!...my father is in his 60's and he RUNS every morning for 40minutes in a local reserve!!...he is an inspiration and a great example of discipline!
What's important?
I want to be healthy, happy and live a mobile life for as long as possible!
I have a friend that is morbidly obese and I worry that she will die very young. We have 1 life to live, we need to make the most of it and treat our bodies and minds with respect and cherish what we have for the short time that we have it!....
There is no such thing as failure, unless you forget to learn from your mistakes and refuse to keep trying.....
