Hello everyone. My name is Kayla and I am 18 years old.
I've been up and down with my weight since I was 14 and starting highschool. I currently weigh 230ish pounds and I am 5 foot eleven inches. I'm starting college this Tuesday, so I know that getting and keeping fit will be hard, but I remembered I had an account on this site and decided to start getting on it again, so I can talk to other people about it so it won't be so hard. I made it my homepage when I open up firefox. :)

I wanna get down to 200 pounds by Christmas. Do you all think I can? :)

With the help, ideas and motivation from this thread and your friends, I think you can definitely lower your weight by Christmas!

I'll be honest with you, I'm a full time college student, work part time and have other responsibilities to fill. It's not easy losing weight or getting tone/healthier, however you want to define what you're aiming for, but if you want it, you'll make time for it.

Well, it's not a welcome to the forum, but welcome back!

Thanks for stopping at my diary. :) I think you can definitely drop the pounds by xmas if you truly are dedicated. I'll check in on you to make sure you're on track. You can do it!

Losing that by christmas should be easy. This site seems to have a lot of helpful and smart people. I know you can do it :):)

You can do it!!! And you've definately come to the right place for support in your journey.

One suggestion I'll make is to use your starting college as a way to increase your activity. Park extra far away when you go to classes, so you have to walk further. If you have a break between classes, and you're staying on campus, take a stroll around. Bring your ipod and crank some tunes to keep you going. You can really turn anything into a chance to get a little exercise, if you are concious of it.

Best of luck to you. Don't forget to update us on your progress. ;)

Wow this is so true! We can get so lazy and always look for the parking spot closest to the door. What is wrong with parking far away and remembering how lucky we are to be able to walk that distance when some people cannot?

Good point!
