Right now. I'm eating carrots. I'm not going to say something completely fake, like... OH BOY, THESE ARE SO YUMMY.,.. CUZ.. they're not.
I'm eating them so I won't eat anything else in my house. Like doughtnuts Or a sandwich, or rootbeer or spaghetti Os.
And they are pretty filling, too.
They are bright orange and you can find it if you drop one like I just did because you can easily see them against most interior decor.
AND... yeah....... THEY WILL HELP YOU IF YOU NEED TO POOP.
No constipation for me this week, that's for sure.
Carrots are okay. They taste better than radishes, that's for sure.
They last a long time in the refrigator, so that's good too. You can have them when ever you want and don't have to worry about them going too bad real soon.
And dogs like them. In fact, your dog will eat them past the point in time when you would no longer eat them. But they won't make your dog sick.
Well.. that's my strange rant about carrots.
...
If anyone says the word yum or yummy in this thread or anything that resembles any sort or enthusiasm for the taste of carrots, may one of your favorite socks be eaten by an angry drying machine!

Did you know the guy that did that initially did the voice for Bugs Bunny was allergic to carrots? (I wanna say his name was Mel Blanc but I don't care enough to look it up) He would spit the carrot into a container right after he did the take or w/e. trufax....have no idea why I remember that.

Carrots are not bad with that dip they serve in the vegetable trays.

*YUM* ;)

Sorry, couldn't help myself :blush5:
I actually do like how they taste, but yeah...they don't taste as good as a doughnut or a sandwich.
It's hard not to go for the forbidden stuff.
I'm doing low carb and my dad keeps scoffing cookies and bread, etc :(

I usually grate my carrots (so they go into fine pieces, not sure if grate is the right word for that, but I hope you know what I mean), add a bit of apple, few drops of lemon juice, leave it to stand for about 15 minutes, and what comes out of it is indeed yummy. The apple helps to bring some sweetness into it, makes it pretty juicy, and works really well with the carrots. Doesn't take very long, it actually tastes good, and is much less boring than just carrots. :)

You can also put a dressing on top and turn it into a proper little salad, but it works nicely as a snack for me.

I would agree with the comment about grating them, you can make a half decent salad, which tastes well, half decent!

Try cucumbers, celery, bell peppers, zuchinni, broccoli! Dont just stick to carrots as your go to veggie choice, or you will most definatly never be friends!!

Personally for me, when im craving something naughty I usually pop a sugar free werthers original in my mouth, or some triscuits and a cheese string, and of course the old saying "drink a glass of water"

I also heard that putting fennel seed under your tounge curbs your appetite..hmmm interesting!

Any woo, before I begin to rant :) Good luck with your carrot issues :D

Carrots are one of my GO TO foods when I feel a nasty binge coming on. Usually right before bed too.

Hahaha. This sounds like my approach with celery. Except sometimes celery just reminds me I'm not hungry.

"I'm hungry. I've already eaten enough today. Hmm. I could have celery. Am I really hungry, or do I just want the taste of food?"

Often I discover that if all I'd eat was celery it turns out I wasn't that hungry after all!! Every now and again I'll eat the celery and be like "Yeah... not so hungry any more." Damn you celery!

... Is anyone going to call celery yummy without it involving peanut butter or something else high in calories? (Although admittedly it's not that bad in a soup or stir fry)

The only time I ever really like celery or carrots is finely chopped into casseroles or some other dish. Raw carrots... blech. I have a recipe for a honey-soy sauce that makes them taste pretty good, though... and they taste good in beef stew... But just raw, crunchy, and dry-tasting? Ick.

I ate 2 lbs of carrots a week while carrying my daughter. I was working at a job where I was always on my feet and sometimes very hungry. I wanted carrots so I ate them. My daughter loves carrots and I still love them.
Baby carrots are the best because they are easy to eat. But not everyone likes them.
I like to stew them with raisins and oranges. Ummm that’s a yummy snack.

I love carrots, eat them with hummus and they don't taste too bad.

*looks at my feet*

I don't get it.

Monster threatened everybody who used the word 'yummy' or any other expression of enthusiasm for the taste of carrots with a loss of their favourite sock. It was to be eaten by an angry drying machine....a lot of people will have to go and buy new socks, and I'm afraid I'm one of them. ;)

I'm eating carrots too now, inspired by your thread. They are watery and not very inspiring but I'm enjoying the crunch.

Let's have a carrot party  (sorry just wanted to use the party icon :) )
