Hi my names Amy, i am a newcomer!!!! (a newbie!!!) i am 20 and i need to lose 62lbs, i am doing weight watchers, for all you people that may not know what weight watchers is is a ponts system that goes on calories and saturated fat, i have 22 points a day and every food has a point! am very excited about the weight Loss Forum and i cant wait to start my diary and make my ticker go down and down!!! Welcome to the forum. I only joined this forum a couple months ago, but the information is great and informative. Good luck on your lifestyle change and again welcome. And the obvious, the people are wonderful here, very supportive.
 
Welcome and glad to hear you're motivated! :)

My cousin is currently doing WW and is experiencing nice results. That coupled with a little 'exercise coaching' from me and she's lost quite a bit of weight over the past month... something in the neighborhood of 12 lbs.

I'll tell you what I told her.

Weight loss initially can come easy but it won't last. Things adapt and slow down. Manage your expectations accordingly so frustration doesn't get the best of you.

Hi everyone, thanks for the replies, well i had an ok week this week i lost 2lbs which is ok, i think it should have been more i was really good!!! but the slower it comes off the better have to update my ticker!!! xxxx
 
2 lbs per week is very good. Congratulations. I've known a lot of people who've had good success with WW. Good luck with it!

I've never been on Weight Watchers but we have one close by. Let us know how everything works out for you there

I'm doing WW at home (no meetings.) I wish you the best of luck. One site I have found very helpful while on WW is . This woman lost a ton of weight on the WW diet and she has a whole site about food Points values, restaurant food Points (more than just what you will find in your WW Restaurant Guide), and great recipes. There are also really great articles on there about weight loss, motivation, etc.
