I'm a little confused..

Okay well i'm about 6'1 160lbs, im looking to shed some fat off. I've been eating about 700-900 cals a day for the past month. i just read that i should be eating at least 1300 cals a day for extream fat loss and about 2000 cals a day for a little fat loss. so has it been bad that ive only been eating that many cals? should i start eating more cals?

Yes - if you go to low with your calorie intake your body will go into starvation mode and it will start storing everything you put into your mouth as fat. You don't mention working out at all, so I'm guessing that you're losing fat and muscle (assuming you're losing weight). My (totally guy on the street) opinion is to up your healthy food intake and start working out to lose weight.

i workout 4 days a week (full body), cardio 2-3 days(somedays are light cardio) and i have a good amount of protein intake. is there also a good amount of carbs i should be taken in too for my weight and height? ( i'm not that new to this stuff but i sound like it )

Agree with Stingo. Yes, it's bad. You're actually going in the opposite direction by eating so little. Eat more and more often. It sounds counterintuitive, but it's true.
