Illness and weight loss

Today I seemed to have my first ever craving for fruit
I'm an absolute chocolate addict and have to have Dairy Milk just about most days, I also eat absolute junk mixed in with healthier stuff just to make me feel less guilty.
I listened to what my body was trying to tell me today and like I said I craved fruit but I also have been feeling overly lathargic of late and I know it's because of the extra weight I'm carrying.

Basically, does anyone here suffer from Fibromyalgia or Narcolepsy?
I have both of these and I was wondering if anyone had found any particular diets or eating habits help or hinder the symptoms?
Narcolepsy isn't something that will be affected by diet but it does worsen my Fibromyalgia and I'd really like to get to grips with looking after my body from the inside before I tackle the outside (again!)

I've seen a psychologist re bingeing but I'd already done so much internal analysis that he couldn't tell me anything I hadn't already thought by myself.
The only thing he did say which I'd not thought of is that the medication I'm on can obviously leave a chemical imprint in my body with un-natural toxins running rampant.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to supplements I could take? As well as the Fibro and Narcolepsy I also have IBS so has anyone found anything natural that can be taken daily to help alleviate this?

Narcolepsy I know nothing of - other than it hits me hard in very boring meetings :D sorry don't mean to makea joke.

Fibromyalgia I did a bunch of research for a buddy of mine recently and came across a lot of info that she claims has helped.

Eating more red meat (iron and magnesium are the good things in this - though there are studies that show excess quanties of both minerals can lead to cancer)
Reducing the amount of fiber.
Avoiding fortified cereals, and dairt produts
limiting sugars
limiting yeasts
Home made is better than processed

a buddy who's a massage therapist has gotten a ton of referrals from women who get regular massages and they swear it helps a lot.

Hi Lindy,

I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia 7 years ago. Over that time, my weight ballooned as I couldn't exercise at all. I saw a dietitian but she wasn't much help.

A couple of years down the track (and the weight had dropped a bit as I was able to exercise more) I saw a Bowen therapist who suggested that candida might be contributing to the fatigue. I went on a diet to try and get that under control- this was very restrictive and I only did it for about 3 months. Basically, I had to cut out wheat/gluten, yeast, dairy, and sugars (although I still ate a little fruit). It did help me feel better, although I wouldn't say it cured me! I also took grapefruit seed extract mixed into water (like a couple of drops of the stuff- it's potent!). Tastes absolutely disgusting, but you do what you gotta do, right? Oh, and I drank a glass of salt water in the morning (natural sea salt with trace minerals).

Might be worth a shot?
