If anyone is wondering if they should try HIIT

DO IT! I did a HIIT (20 minute) session last night after weight training. I warmed up for 5 minutes, did 10 cycles (30 second jogging, 30 second fast walking, I cant jog for extended periods yet) then a 5 minute cooldown with a stretch afterwards. I felt better after that than I ever have with 45 minutes on the cardio machines!

in case any one is wondering about HIIT heres a site that explains it really well

i havnt done any real HIIT but im defently going to start.

So i run on the elliptical trainer at like difficulty 10 for a min at 65 rpm then increase to difficulty 15 and run 80-85 rpm for a min and keep goin back and forth for about 25 minutes warming up for 5 minutes and a cool down after for 5 minutes is a that good HIIT?

Aevans410,

Glad to see you liked it so much! My attention span when it comes to cardio is pretty bad, that's why I like the interval running so much...10-20 minutes and done!
