Ideal weight?

So is there an actual way to figure out what your ideal weight should be based on your frame size. I seem to be getting conflicting numbers.

Some calculators say 140 - 179 for my height. Some say 154 - 166.

Right now I'm at 165, I'm 5'11" and I'm a medium frame. I though I still had 5 - 10 to go but it seems like after further review I may be at my ideal weight.

Does anyone happen to have a legit idea weight calculator or are charts the best way to go about this? I'd ask my Doctor but in this great country of America our Health System only alows us to visit our Doctors once every 2 years. And you wonder why we are beached whales.

"Ideal weight" is a myth. The charts can only give you a range really. A much better indication is body fat measurements, and, honestly, how you look and feel.

Everyone looks different at the same weight - people who are exactly the same height and same weight could look radically different depending on a whole variety of things, including body fat, muscle development, and just plain old genetics.

Hit the range recommended and then see how you feel about how you look from there.

Exactly. And so is the female orgasm.

No, but seriously, the whole concept of an "ideal weight" is nothing more than a personal preference. My ideal weight according to doctors is deeeeefinitely different than what my ideal weight is according to myself. When I'm at my normal weight (when I look and feel healthy), I'm still heavier than what doctors would like me to be. If I got my weight down to a doctor's ideal weight for me, I'd look sickly and gross. Well, more sickly and gross than I already do.
