I'd like to exercise a few minutes a day.

Thanks all for suggestions, but in the end I just worked my way up with the pushups and ended up with this routine:

Morning:
20 pullups

Afternoon:
80 pushups
20 chinups

There's only one more question I want to ask. I'm happy with this routine, and I think I'll be sticking with it for a while without changing anything, since I only want to have some exercise to aid my weight loss. Currently, I do these exercises every day, but I just want to ask if it is better to do it every day, or take some days for a break inbetween?

Correct. Pitiful. Now count up all the 'waking hours' per year you spend watching TV or surfing the web. For the amount of time you spend watching commercials in a typical one hour TV show, if you traded that for gym time, you could get in great shape.

Sorry to bring it back, but I'm inclined to agree with this. "Not finding the time" is a common deterrent for most people, but it's totally possible to find AT LEAST 20 minutes a day to do some intense exercise. I think that's the key--go hard, go "fast"--instead of pushing through an hour of cardio at a leisurely pace. You can attack the fat a lot more effectively if you do it this way.

I see that you're up to doing about 80 pushups (or chinups, or both). So I assume we're getting past the 5 minute mark by now, which is great to hear. If you calculate the time it takes you to (properly) perform your exercises, you might actually be at somewhere between 10-15 minutes. Essentially you've proved that the time to work out can be found, no matter how busy the schedule. Keep it up, and consider throwing in some cardio eventually.

Best,

Lee

I was just wondering, since it's a short routine: should I do it every day, or is it better (for example) every other day?

For now I think everyday is good, however if you decide to add exercises, then you might want to split and alternate days.

Keep it up dude :D

It is very common to hear now a days about dieting but I just want to make clear something that having a dieting doesn’t mean that not to eat anything means of having good figure but to make a good routine is a dieting tip as well as doing exercise or yoga makes us fit.

Ummm...could someone pass me a decoder ring?

Just a quick update, so you don't think I've given up... I'm not in the triple digits anymore! :D my last weight was just a few gramms below the 100kg mark (220lbs: I guess this is a nice feeling comparable to when you get below the 200lbs mark).

As for exercising I just spread out my quick exercies to 20 pullups on one day, and 80 pushups on the next day. Then, repeat ;) I also do around 40 minutes of walking per day, while on breaks.

I don't know yet what my target is, but I hope I'll lose at least 10kg more.

Awesome! Keep it up.

I also have to commend you on rostering. Its a good way to work out another area while the first is recovering. In my experience its also how you evolve and progress the types of sessions you do. Eventually, that itch to add new exercises that compliments comes up.:)

Keep it up

SXIPro is of the same opinion as me, you have to live in your body for the rest of your life, so it should be number 1 priority to keep it perfect, right?

IF you really cba to exercise much a day, then why not just do a different exercise, such as squats, lunges, press ups, during every commercial break on tv you watch. If you watch 2 hours of tv a day, theres about 30 minutes of exercise right there...

Good to hear about your success, keep it up! Pushups and pulls can burn quite a few calories by themselves.

Something I might add is diet. Maybe even if it means not stuffing yourself. Diet can help you a lot. Also cardio. Jump rope, mountain climbers, jump squats, jumping jacks, treadmill, etc. - there's really a lot of options for cardio as well.

Still doing good, now at 95kg (210lbs)!

Since exercising everyday has become a bit tiresome, I decreased it to 2 days per week, but with a longer workout:
3 pullups
12 pushups
12 squats

and currently I repeat all this 9 times.

It's slightly harder to get up a bit earlier in the morning to cover all these exercises, but so far it's worth it!

Something that I have incorporated into my days is doing an exercise one time every hour on the hour. For example, if you are struggling with pushups, then to a couple at 6:00, 7:00, etc. In no time, you will notice that your are getting better at those exercises. Plus, there are plenty of exercises you can do that don't require equipment or much space. For example, pushups, situps, squats, handstands, lunges, etc.
