Icing Muscles after Workouts may not be the way to Go

Hi guys! I'm new to the forum, but I want you weigh in your thoughts on this. I've seen a couple articles on how icing muscles after a ride or workout can be counter productive to the recovery process. What's your opinion on this?

This will be controversial for quite a while, I'm sure. While it's true that icing will bring down inflammation and swelling that your body uses to transport nutrients to an injured area, too much swelling can impede that and stop the damaged debris from moving out of the area. It's not a black-and-white topic, for sure.

I agree. I'm seeing arguments on both sides of the fence about icing. The logic behind non icing view point makes a lot of sense to me.
