Without going into specifics, I went to a weight loss doctor and he prescribed me Phentermine pills and HCG shots and he told me to take a multivitamin. He put me on an 800 calories a day diet. He gave me a diet to follow and the main thing is to not eat fat or sugar. Only foods with 1.5 grams of fat or less are allowed. The first week was successful and now I am into my second week. The medications have reduced my appetite so I can stop overeating. I have no issues sleeping at night. There were minor withdrawal symptoms from stopping to eat sugar, like headaches, but that's done. I have looked up online how some doctors and health experts are against using medications to help with weight loss, but so far I am having no problems and its working. Should I continue with this or are there other issues I should be worried about?

Without knowing specifics, it's hard to say. Personally, I am against weight-loss pills, shots etc. I went down that road a long time ago & it did not end well. How long will you be taking them? Have you Googled the side effects? How long will you be only consuming 800 cals a day? Will you be getting enough nutrients? What will happen when you stop taking them & return to "normal" eating?

I will be taking them until I reach my goal weight. I have looked up side effects, and I really don't have any. Once I reach my goal weight then I will increase calories to maintain that weight. Yes I am taking multivitamins. I am learning now what normal eating is. I will continue counting my calories and making sure I never return to overeating again.

Be careful that you don’t lose too much muscle during this time of such low calories. Are you eating carbs ? I did a no carb no sugar and lost weight but realized after that I lost too much muscle. Then I gained more back than my highest ever weight. Sometimes resistance workouts can prevent this. Make sure you are eating carbs.

He didn't say no carbs. His main thing was no fat and eating less than 800 calories. He gave me a notebook with the diet in it. I am feeling much lighter. Its easier to walk around. I do not see why there are so many negative comments about taking Phentermine and HCG prescribed by a doctor to lose weight.

Yes The FDA banned HCG for good reason Took it all off the shelves your DR is a dangerous quack. You might get cancer if you continue.

You need to do more research about the pills.Check out the ingridients, the side effects, are the pills approved by relevant authorities and so on. This is your health you are trying to redeem and in case you arent carefull some these pills might ruin it.
