For the past 4 weeks I've been working out mon-friday with friends at the YMCA and for the first time in my life, lost weight. I workout 25mins cardio, lift, and walk home, 3 miles away after school. But I need suggestions, I don't eat lunch because school lunch is nasty. I also am curious as to what a good heart rate for someone who is 275 is. I don't like walking on a treadmill though...it makes me feel old. Also are there any eating plans I should follow or that someone could suggest.. I have lost 10 lbs so far... I want to lose more, and at a faster rate!! Thanks for the help!

You need to eat lunch. Either take something heathy, or just grab a side dish of something at the lunchroom. And the treadmill is great. Don't care about what other people think, or how you feel at the very moment. It will make you younger, NOT older, so run on it if you can instead of walking.

Sounds like an excellent exercise plan. Not sure what about a treadmill makes people old, but if you don't like it, it's not a huge issue.

Sounds like you're well on your way, and honestly, losing more than 10 lbs in 4 weeks is only going to come from a loss of muscle mass. I started off losing about 2.5lbs per week, and when I added in strength training, I have slowed way down on the scales, but I can see the difference in body fat vs muscle.

Although it's mostly about calories consumed vs expended, you really should eat a lot of your daily calories by lunchtime. You should consume most of your calories early in the day to fuel your body. It makes for better workouts and improved energy levels throughtout the day.

Staying hydrated helps your body function better as well. I know it's very hard ot do on a busy schedule, so do the best you can. Preparing the night before can help you with your lunch, and with your fluid intake. Hope that helps.
