Hello everyone! I was browsing the net looking for something similar to a support group that can inspire me/keep me on track with my weight loss goals, and I think I have found the perfect place ;) yay. I have been checking out the site for a few weeks and decided that its time to sing..."im coming out" lol I know lame =)

I'm Shay from California...I'm 21 years old, student, mom, and ready to make a complete change. I look forward to "meeting" some great people, being motivated and if I am lucky...possibly be a motivation to someone else! so thanks for reading...see ya around. :p
 
Well...welcome! I am a 51 year old guy...started at 350 LB about 10 days ago...at 339 as of this morning...only 99 more LB to go! I find this forum helpful - if I get into that "bored-hungry" state of mind (which has been my downfall in the past), I come to the forum and get a little inspiration. I am really trying to say "this is my new eating lifestyle", rather than "I am on a diet".

I was at dinner with my wife and friends last Friday and realized I was the only really overweight person there...yeah, there were a few people that could stand to lose 10 pounds, but it was a shock to realize.

I wish you the best of luck on your journey. We'll be here with you!

This site seems to be very inspiring. After I looked at peoples before & after pictures, it gave me even more motivation to make this change and I am more excited then ever to see the hard work pay off. Its going to be a complete change! YAY. My goal is to go from 280 to 150 ish.

Welcome! I hope this site helps you achieve all of your goals. Seeing that your my age and you are a student and a mom it seems that you are very determined. I think you will have no problem reaching your goals. Good luck!

Heck yes! I really want to become healthy and be a poitive influence in my daughters lifeonthe importance of staying healthy!

I was a teen parent, my daughter is 7 yrs old now.

I am working hard =) I just started the new semester in school after winter break so it has been difficult to find the time to exercise but I'm doing what I can! Thanks for checking in on me, I sure do aappreciate it.

OMGoodness...well so far I've been eating better, walking, and I have this treadmill/bike thing I recently have been trying...I am pretty sure I will have to add some more strenious exercises to my workout plan but hopefully I can see some results with what I am doing thus far. I have a lonnnggg way to go lol ...

What about you? How are your results coming? Any good exercise tips?

lol its a going =P i kinda slipped up this weekend when i got grounded from my laptop -_-" sooo i like binged and didnt workout >_> but today was a total success... i posted a list of goals i want to accomplish in the next 30 weeks... soo thats awesome... because i know exactly what i am striving for physically^^ i broke the 30 weeks up into like 6 sets of 5 weeks. and every 5 weeks i up the intensity... soo hopefully that will help me keep my calories burning pretty rapidly. =P

hehe my biggest goal of 2009 is :3 to be able to do the splits =D heheheh

awww you need to post pics of your daughter when you get the chance.^^

Im back at it. I fell off track for a moment =[ But I've been doing really great the past 2 weeks...I've lost a few lbs. so thats great. How is everyone?
