i really could use some advice!

Ok, in the past year ive lost 65lbs. Im as skinny as i can get but i have so much loose fat around my stomach area and my upper leg area. I just bought a small home gym. ive done crunches and leg exercises but I just cant seem to tighten it up. Is there specific exercises i need to do? Ive worked so hard at getting the weight off and would like to tone everything. Any suggestions, websites, or programs i could follow would help greatly. I dont want to be a body builder or anything i just want to bet "cut". Thanks alot... Joe

I bought a treadmill and run 5 days a week about 2-3 miles per day. Basically i just watch what i eat, usually keep calories between 800- 1100 a day mon-sat. Sun i eat whatever i want. It worked out pretty good.
I do have some fat around my stomach but its mostly just loose skin. The rest of my body is very skinny i just cant seem to tighten that area up.

It's the basics....

At this point exercise will help with burning fat, respiratory, circulatory and other health benefits....but all in all, it comes down to calories. You can get where you need to go with diet alone.

Please trust me on this, my exercise routine is widely condemned as "excessive" and there comes a point where your body just becomes conditioned to all the cardio & weights. Sure, you can build more muscle and play with routines, but at the end of the day it's still a matter of calories in vs. calories out.

Start a journal. Like most people, you won't want to...cause it forces you to realize how much you're eating. You'll say it's a pain or you don't want to bother...but the accountibility alone will make you re-think everything you put in your mouth. More often then not, people (even educateed ones) tend to dramatically underestimate the amount of calories they're taking in....and as we lose more weight our bodies become more efficient and we have to push harder to lose more fat.

Get yourself counting calories, discover the joys of eating less and true deprivation. I'm at the same place as you. And don't make the mistake of thinking that since you exercised you can eat a bit more on account of the calories you burned...it's all too easy to eat back those burned calories: you don't burn as much as you think and you eat more then you realize. It's a miserable truth, but it's reality: been there, ate that! :D

You have to just keep at it, it will come off eventually. Weights, cardio and a healthy diet will get you there faster. But realize it didn't get there over night and may take some time to get it off. If you are finding that you're at the point where it's just loose skin.. do a search on "loose skin" in this section you will find that there are several others in the same boat with some good suggestions.

Just stick with it you're doing a great job so far.
