in the shower...i've been feeling sick all day long...but once i got in the shower i started to feel like i was gonna throw up, my body felt very very heavy and i couldent see...all i could see was blackness through my eyes.

the next thing i know i'm laying on my back in the tub...i dont remember falling, i remember hearing myself fall, and i didnt feel any pain from falling. i didnt stay passed out long at all...maby a second...but once i opened my eyes i was like "what the heck?"

for the past couple weeks after i eat lunch i have an energy crash, i feel like i just want to close my eyes and go to sleep. around 3 or 4 in the afternoon its usualy worn off.

i go to the gym every other day, i dont eat all the crap i used to eat, i eat healthy...i've been losing about a pound a week.

i'm all better now, i just feel sick again...whats wrong with me??

for breakfast i usualy eat a bowl of regular corn flakes...and for lunch i usualy eat a few slices of turkey, and yogurt and a banana or apple...or both...maby a couple rice cakes thrown in there. and for supper i almost always eat a meatball sub haha...i cant give thoes up

try splitting your calories up into 5-6 smaller meals. I'm not a professional or anything, but I used to have low blood sugar and I would feel really tired in the afternoon too, but now that I eat smaller meals throughout the day that has gone away. Also with low blood sugar I would get faint, I came close to fainting a couple times, but I never actually did. Again, im not a doctor, and you should still go see a doctor, but that is the only idea I can come up with.

How many calories are you consuming a day? How long do you exercise at the gym? I would get like that when i didnt eat enough, and that (faintness)happens to me also when i have low blood pressure. I'd see a doctor, passing out doesnt happen too often, better be on the safe side.

Go to the doctor. Period.
Don't ask advise from strangers on the web.

You need to be tested.

On 20 Feb my husband passed out.
While driving.

We're lucky (and the person he hit) was lucky he wasn't on the freeway.

Fortunately, my husband was found non negligent by our insurance company - even heart attack victims that cause accidents don't get that status because there are always symptoms that occur before they ever get in the car.

We were lucky - if it happens again to you, you might not be so lucky (and trust me, I realize passing out while in the shower might not seem lucky) but compared to driving...well...it is.

Please go to a doctor.

I pass out quite easily (blood, too much sun, too cold, etc). It hasn't happened for a few years, but I know the signs well enough, and what you described is exactly what happens to me. I'm also familiar with the energy crash after meals, which happened to me when I wasn't eating enough. My non-scientific guess as to what's happening there is your body trying to shut down all "non-essential" operations so it can make best use of the energy supplies it's just been given.

It sounds as if you're either not eating enough, or you're not eating enough during the day because you're trying to save all your calories for supper.

Was it later in the day but before supper that you passed out?

An easy way to find out if it's your diet that's causing this is to stop the diet. Spend a week or two eating "normally". Spread your food throughout the day. Eat little and often. Make sure you eat a varied diet and get all the nutrients you need. If you put on a couple of pounds, so what? This is your health we're talking about.

Other people have already told you to go to the doctor, so I'm not going to add that.

id say on a normal day i eat almost 2000 calories...i'm not crazy about 'going back to my old ways' haha, fried food every day cant be good. i passed out at night around 9 oclock, and i didnt really eat a whole lot yesterday...maby 1000 calories in total, but only becasue i felt like total crap...i also spent 3 hours moving washers and driers up narrow stairways in 300 year old houses, and then lifting them 4 feet up into the back of my dumptruck...i felt like complete crap while doing that.

i go to the gym every other day, and i usualy stay for about an hour...i do some rowing and weight lifting...by no means excessive.

hopefully me passing out was just a 1 time thing...i just bought a motorcycle on friday....

Do you plan on riding it without being tested by a doctor?

Personally, I do think all the moving you did, on only 1K cals is probably what caused it - however - what has happend once can happen again.

You should get checked and in the mean time eat properly.

You would be putting not only your life at risk, but the the life of some innocent child at risk if you get in a car or on a motorcycle and then pass out.

Is it worth it?

One of the times I passed out was when I'd just got off a motorcycle. I was training to get my licence, and it was a very cold day. I hadn't realised quite how cold it was, and had gone out without enough warm clothing on. I was riding round and realised I felt a bit weird, so I stopped the bike, got off, put it on its stand, and went to sit on a wall nearby. Started feeling worse, so put my head between my knees. The guy who was training me came over to see if I was alright. I said I felt a bit faint, but I was really embarrassed, so I sat there for a few minutes before saying I think I'd have to give up on the training for that day. I knew it was the cold that was causing it, so I stood up to head over to my car and put the heater on to warm me up. I'd only gone a few steps and - sickness, roaring in my ears, blackness - and then I was on the ground. My trainer helped me up, and got me in my car, and I sat there for half an hour with the engine running and the heater going full blast before I felt safe to drive home.

When I saw the doctor, he said it wasn't that unusual if you get really, really cold, and to be careful to wrap up warm if I was going to ride a motorbike. I decided I'd stick to my car in future!

i just passed out again a few minutes ago...i'm sick and i'm sooo cold, so i've been taking wicked hot showers...i think that has something to do with it...but still....

i'm gonna start thinkin about doctors...i dont really have one right now

hmmm ya think??? just call your insurance company and ask them for the name of some on your plan, and go! none of us can really help you with this.

Passing out twice in such a short period of time is not NORMAL . You have noe doc, i would go to the emergency room..

Now that i think of it, my cousin went through a phase of passing out a few days in a row, while driving a few times too, he didnt go to the doctor. Well the day before his wedding, he passed out and he woke up and went along with the practice in church. The next morning, his wedding day he passed out again, my aunt said no way he is going to get through this, they rushed him to the hospital..The wedding of course canceled, and a lot of money down the drain.

Little did he know, he had ulcers and burst! He never suspected anything, because he felt no pain..and..if he hadn't gone to the doctor the day of his wedding, he would not have been alive today. They pretty much told him, he would have died in his sleep from internal bleeding..

I'm not saying you have the same thing, i am just saying that when your body is telling you something is wrong, go to the doctor, if you have no doctor, there is an emergency room.

I hope you make the right choice,

i do have medical insurance, and up until a few years ago i havent needed to go to the doctors...i used to always go to the 'childrens hospital'...theres an adult part upstairs, i'm told all i need to do is get my papers from the childrens part and go upstairs...i'll try to get to it today...hopefully i'm only passing out becasue i'm sick and because of the hot showers.

maby once i get better i'll find a female to have some 'hot showers' with hahaha

As someone trained in first aid, like the others said, you need to see a doctor. It wouldn't be so bad if you passed out and felt fine afterwards, could be a fluke thing, but feeling bad/sick/weak long before and long afterwards points to some more devious cause.

It sounds like you aren't eating enough and when you get a spike in carbs from lunch you may crash from the insulin response. This is something I would point out to your doctor as you'll probably need to be checked for signs of hypoglycemia or diabetes.

Go to the ER or a general clinic if you don't have a personal or family doctor.

they did height weight and blood pressure...blood pressure was good and it turns out i lost 4 pounds since thursday, i'm 205 today, the gym scale said 209 thursday...who knows maby the scales are a little different.

anyways i was completly honest with the doctor and she had the nurse do an ekg on me...i think thats what its called...the heart monitor thing.

they said i have a SLIGHTLY weird beat...one side of my heart beats slightly stronger than the other side...she said its nothing to lose sleep over and its something i was probably born with...but to be safe shes making me go and get a heart ultrasound tomorrow along with some bloodwork.

sometimes i think their too good...either that or they like to fish for problems until they find something...but, their the doctors and i'm taking their advice...i still think its just a combination of being really sick and taking an extreemly hot shower
